Vampire Alexis Black might have won the battle, but can she survive the war?
After flipping her twin brother from foe to friend and staking her sadistic sire, Alexis Black hoped things would become a little less vamp-centric. But when her I-saw-you-die sister, Lysette, shows up alive and allied with her enemy, the vengeful vamp Delano Melazi, Alexis finds herself up to her fangs in undead.
Delano has declared war against humans. With the help of Lysette, now a powerful witch, he plans to turn Chicago into the first vampire-controlled city. Over Alexis’ ashed body. To stop them, Alexis must fight a different kind of battle…one that can’t be won with strength or stakes. If she loses, the outcome wouldn’t simply be death, but the total enslavement of the human race.
Evil’s Avenging Angel is the third book in the award-winning Alexis Black Novels, an urban fantasy series that has everything great about the genre…attitude, action, and ass-kicking.

I have authors that I forget just how much I like their writing until I read them again. This is one such author. Her books are written well, filled with great action, and have interesting characters. In this latest, poor Alexis must deal with the Sovereign Seven, Delano trying to take over her city, and deal with her evil sister. I quite enjoyed this book from start to finish. I love the characters in this book, and by the end, I even was rooting for Caleb who can be…well, Caleb. LOL! This was a great read from start to finish, and if you enjoyed the rest of the series, you will love this one. If you haven’t started it, and love urban fantasy, you need to start. Highly recommend!
The author could publish a dozen books in this series on the same day and it still wouldn’t be enough, or fast enough, to satisfy my insatiable thirst for more about Alexis. I love this world and all the twisted intrigue and politicking that Alexis always managed to end up in the middle of. I adore the “family” that Alexis has drawn around her. They love her, they support her, they keep her humble. Alexis is an amazing heroine, but she wouldn’t be able to accomplish everything she does if she didn’t have them behind her. As much as I want to gush about every last thing that tickled my fancy in this book, I know I don’t dare because it would give away all the best parts. (P.S. There are no bad parts.) I’ve reached the end and already I NEED to know what happens next.
Book 1 was ok; it needed more exclamation in spots and moved a bit to quickly. BUT book 2 was fantastic very good story Windrow fixed my issues with book 1 and put out a very good story great characters book 3 was just as good I don't understand the bad reviews this book was well written lots of character growth along with all the action, drama, romance and yes humor (Nathan) so I don't get the bad reviews. Don't go off them this was a really good story but you do need to read/listen to all three. So do yourself a favor: get the Audible books; narration was very good. Hope there will be more of Alexis Black and company; her story isn't done yet. Highly recommend.
